Fees and Insurance

Professional Fees

You are responsible for paying at the time of your session unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment must be made by check, cash, or credit credit. If you refuse to pay your debt, Restoring Wellness Counseling reserves the right to use an attorney or collection agency to secure payment. If such legal action is necessary, its costs will be included in the claim. There will be a $35 check charge for each returned check due to insufficient funds.

If you anticipate becoming involved in a court case, we recommend that we discuss this fully before you waive your right to confidentiality. If your case requires my participation, you will be expected to pay for the professional time required even if your counselor is called to testify by another party.
Fees are non-negotiable.

The same charges that apply to counseling also to other professional services you may need, though we will prorate the hourly fee if we work for periods of less than hour. Other services include report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 5 minutes, attendance at meetings with other professionals you have authorized, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and time spend performing any other service you may request of center.

Restoring Wellness desires to help all that genuinely want it regardless of their financial circumstances. To receive sliding scale fees, you must present proof of income through recent pay stubs or tax forms and apply for the Scholarship Sliding Scale. Fees are subject to change at counselor’s discretion. We also agree to accept a payment plan, in qualifying situations, without charging any interest. Please see the weekly payment agreement.

 Fee Schedule

Initial Session (Intake) – $95+$30= $125

Assessment & Setup Fee- 1st session one-time fee- $30

Standard Session Fee (45 minutes) – $95

Group Therapy (90 minutes)- $30


We accept Mo Healthnet insurance for individuals 20 years old and under. We are not able to accept Medicare or adult Medicaid at this time.

Private Insurance Reimbursement

 You are responsible to pay your full payment to Restoring Wellness Counseling. If you have a health insurance policy, it will usually provide some coverage for mental health treatment. With your permission, we will assist you to the extent possible in filing claims and ascertaining information about your coverage, but you are responsible for full payment to Restoring Wellness Counseling and knowing your coverage and for letting me know if/when your coverage changes.
You should also be aware that most insurance companies require you to authorize us to provide them with a clinical diagnosis. Sometimes we have to provide additional clinical information which will become part of the insurance company files.
In addition, if you plan to use your insurance, authorization from the insurance company may be required before they will cover counseling fees. If you did not obtain authorization and it is required, you may be responsible for full payment of the fee. Many policies leave a percentage of the fee to be covered by the patient. Either amount is to be paid at the time of the visit by check or cash. In addition, some insurance companies also have a deductible, which is an out-of-pocket amount that must be paid by the patient before the insurance companies are willing to begin paying any amount for services.
If Restoring Wellness Counseling is not a participating provider for your insurance plan, we will supply you with a receipt of payment for services, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers. If you prefer to use a participating provider, we will refer you to a colleague.
